Tonsils and Adenoids

Tomorrow Paeton and Nolan are having their tonsils and adenoids taken out. Paeton keeps telling me she is going to hide in a box so that she won't have to have the surgery done and Nolan is saying "I can't wait!!". They are so funny. I know that they are nervous and scared, but I also know they will come out okay and will heal so fast they won't even realize it. It is going to be a long couple of days around our house. We went to the library today and checked a bunch of books, they are having a read-a-thon at school over spud harvest, and we got a few movies from there also. I have stocked up on Popsicle's, gator aide and medicine for them. Rod is driving trucks for spud harvest so I am on my own for this trip, but will be okay. Leland has decided to go to friends house to play for the day and I am grateful the mom said it would be okay. He did not want to go to the hospital with me, which I wish he was instead.

My oldest son had both his A & T taken out and I was prepared for the worst because he was 2. About 2 hours after the surgery, they released us saying that he was doing fabulous and let us go home instead of staying the night! It was a huge relief and he was no worse for the wear! The recovery time was maybe all of 12 hours. So, I hope that all goes smooth and easy for the two of yours! Best of luck.

Yikes! But it's good that they are having it done when they are young. I hear it is harder when you're an adult. We'll be thinking of you.
