Wrestling Awards

The boys finished their wrestling season last night with a team party. They had so much fun and they both got medals for not missing more than 2 practices and for attending practice. We did not do any tournaments because we feel they are not old enough, but the practices were enough for them, Paeton and myself. I think they are glad it is over but in the same breath wanting to know when it starts again, they have to wait until September.

I love this picture with Paeton. I don't know if she was doing some sort of Cheer or if she was just plain excited the she doesn't have to watch the boys any more at practice, LOL.

Chocolate Wonders

I decided to make cookies yesterday and to use a Chocolate Cake Mix. I have never made cookies with a cake mix before and thought I would try it out.

1 package of Chocolate Cake Mix
1/2 Cup of Oil
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon of Mint Extract

Mix together.
Preheat oven to 350 and bake for 10 minutes.

Roll into 1 inch balls and than roll the ball into powder sugar and than place on a ungreased cookie sheet. Once cooked leave on cookie sheet for 1 minute and than place onto a cooling rack for 30 minutes.

Once cooled frost one cookie on the bottom with vanilla icing and place another cookie on top of the icing making a sandwich. Once I have them all done, I put them in a 9x13 pan and cover and place in the freezer. I made in the morning and froze them all day, the boys had a team party for wrestling last night and I pulled the cookies out when we left and by the time we ate dinner they were thawed but still cold. They were SO YUMMY!!!

Dinner is Ready

I have a friend who told me about this book. It is really cool. It helps you make 30 meals that you can put in your freezer. The recipes are really good and easy to make. You can check out the website at www.dinnerisready.com or at www.30MealsinOneDay.com . It will print off recipes and directions, labels and shopping list for you. You can add or adjust the recipes to fit your family and you can adjust serving size also. It is worth checking out.

Science Day

The kids had science day at school last week and that night we got to go back as a family and check everything out. It was cool to see all the fun things they go to learn about that day.

Rebekah

Rebekah is our litte niece. She is so cute, but can be alittle testy at times. We love her. Her she is in her football stance growling and in the second picture this is right before she plows you over. It was hilarious to watch and hear her.

St. Patrick's Day

The kids did not have school on St. Patrick's Day so we decided to invite some friends over to play. I think we had about 10-12 kids at one time. The kids had so much fun playing and hanging out with their friends. I hope when they get older that they and their friends will want to continue to hang out at our house. It was so much fun to watch them all.

Wrestling

The boys wanted to give wrestling a try out and so we signed them up. They have practice twice a week and love going and learning the moves. They have gotten good at the moves and continue to improve each time we go to practice. The club has meets on Saturday's, but we feel the boys are not old enough and think we will wait another year or two before they do the meets. I thought I had better pictures but I don't. If I remember my camera this week, I will try to get some of them wrestling.

Cowboys and Peasant Girl

The kids went over to their cousins house to play after school one day and played dress up. Leland looks like the "Bad Cowboy" and Nolan the "Good Cowboy" with Paeton as the Peasant Girl. They had so much fun playing and dressing up that they did not want to come home with me when I went to pick them up.
