Italian Chicken

Blend together:

1 family size can of Cream of Chicken Soup
1 8 oz package of cream cheese
1 packet of dry Italian dressing

In a crock pot put a little bit of sauce and put chicken tenders in and cover with remaining sauce.

If chicken tenders are frozen cook on high for a couple of hours or if early enough in the day you can cook on low all day until dinner time.

I cooked mine on high until an hour before dinner and switch to low.

Stir on occasion.

You can eat it over rice or potatoes. We had it over brown rice and it was really good and served a side salad with it.

Bubble Pizza

I got this recipe from a friend at the bookstore. It is so EASY!!!

Take a 9 x 13 pan (or 2) spray with Pam (or whatever spray you use).

I used Bisquick to make Biscuits this last time and they were better than the store bought in the pop cans.

Take and cover the bottom of the pan with the biscuits. Cover biscuits with sauce and than add your toppings. Cover with cheese.

Stick in oven (375 degrees). Cook until biscuits are done, about 15-20 minutes.

My family loves these and devour them in seconds.

Enjoy!!

Spud Harvest

I am sad that Spud Harvest is almost over and the kids have to go back to school this week. It has been fun having them home and they have enjoyed it also, but I think they are ready to get back to school. We have been reading a lot of books for the Read-a-thon over harvest break and recovering from last week. They are such a joy to have around and I truly miss them when they are gone all day. We have had a lot of snuggle time and I never get tired of that.

Forgot to Mention

A funny story that happened the morning Nolan and Paeton had their tonsils taken out.

Rod was home with Leland (if you know Leland, you will see where this story is going). Rod was getting ready to take Leland to a friends house to play for the day and getting ready for work (he is driving a truck for potato harvest). Rod decided to put his lunch box and cooler in his truck that was out in the garage. No big deal, but he was in his underwear and Leland decided to go out into the garage with him. Rod is ALWAYS telling the kids if they go out to shut the door or if they come inside to make sure the door was shut. Well, Leland following instruction did just as he has been told MANY times to do, he shut the door when he came out into the garage.

Needless to say Rod and Leland were locked out of the house. So Rod calls me at the hospital and tells me that I HAVE TO GET HOME RIGHT AWAY!!! I am thinking something SERIOUS has happened and than proceed to tell him that I can't leave with the kids being operated on and that a parent/adult has to be there at all times. He finally tells me what happened. I asked what phone he was using because his was locked in the house. He had Leland run next door and brought the neighbor back with him who was dying with laughter.

I told Rod I would make a phone call and call him back. So I called my friend who was taking Leland for the day and she came up to the hospital and got the key to bring it back to Rod. I called Rod back and he flipped and felt like he needed to remind me that he only had his underwear on. I told him to just sit in the truck and when she got there she was going to knock and to let Leland get the key from her and give it back to her once the door was opened. He was dying. When I got off the phone with Rod, he had the neighbor bring him some clothes to put on until he could get into the house.

Now it would not have been such a emergency, but this happened at 8:40a and Rod was to be at work at 9:00a. Thank goodness the hospital is only a few minutes away.

I was laughing so hard!!!! I asked Leland if he felt like he did something wrong and he said "No, Because Dad is always telling us to shut the door and so I made sure I did." Gotta love when the kids listen to you.

Lesson to learn: Make sure door is unlocked before you shut it or tell the person who is shutting the door to make sure the door is unlocked.

Biggest Lesson to learn: DO NOT GO OUTSIDE IN YOUR UNDERWEAR!!! LOL!!!

What my name means

I got this off another friends site and thought it was interesting. Here is where you can try your name and see what it says http://www.blogthings.com/whatsyournameshiddenmeaningquiz/

What Rolyndia Means

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life. You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising. You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy.

You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row.You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace.People can see you as stubborn and headstrong. You definitely have a dominant personality.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic “Type A” personality.

Sleep

In desperate need of sleep. It has been a rough two days and I have heard the third is the worse of them all. They are both in need of some sleep also and their poor little throats are just killing them. They did sleep a little better last night, but we were up every 4-5 hours for Popsicles, water and medicine to help with the pain. I am going to make a few phone calls to find some humidifiers and see if that will help them. I don't think I am making any sense today, oh well. I don't think I have been this sleep deprived since the kids were born and came home from the hospital.

Recovery

Nolan and Paeton did awesome. The DR said that their adenoids were blocking 80% of their nasal airway and that both their tonsils were huge, but Paeton's were a little bigger. We are home now and both are doing great. Paeton seems to be doing a little better than Nolan, but he is not far behind. I hope tonight goes well also.

Tonsils and Adenoids

Tomorrow Paeton and Nolan are having their tonsils and adenoids taken out. Paeton keeps telling me she is going to hide in a box so that she won't have to have the surgery done and Nolan is saying "I can't wait!!". They are so funny. I know that they are nervous and scared, but I also know they will come out okay and will heal so fast they won't even realize it. It is going to be a long couple of days around our house. We went to the library today and checked a bunch of books, they are having a read-a-thon at school over spud harvest, and we got a few movies from there also. I have stocked up on Popsicle's, gator aide and medicine for them. Rod is driving trucks for spud harvest so I am on my own for this trip, but will be okay. Leland has decided to go to friends house to play for the day and I am grateful the mom said it would be okay. He did not want to go to the hospital with me, which I wish he was instead.

Time of year

I have decided that I don't like this time of the year. I don't ever get to watch General Conference on either day because I am the one trying to keep the kids quiet so Rod can watch it. So while he is watching it, I am either in the other room or downstairs trying to keep three 6 yr olds happy and it really makes me hate this time of the year. I don't mean to be a "Debbie Downer", but I have to say it has been YEARS since I watched conference or even read it in the Ensign. For once I would love to be able to watch it and get something out of it.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Pulling Teeth

Seriously!!! Leland came home from school a few days ago and told me this funny story.

He and one of his favorite friends in class (we will call him "E") were outside playing at recess and E's tooth was loose and Leland asked if he could pull it for him. E told him yes, so Leland pulled his tooth and than gave it to E to put in his pocket. It was hilarious. Well today the kids came home with a letter from "them" (their teacher typed it up for all the kids to sign and take come to tell about their week at school, love it) and the story is in the letter to all the parents. Gotta love friends who are willing to pull teeth for you.
