Sand and Stone

TWO FRIENDS WERE WALKING
THROUGH THE DESERT.
DURING SOME POINT OF THE
JOURNEY, THEY HAD AN
ARGUME NT ; AND ONE FRIEND
SLAPPED THE OTHER ONE
IN THE FACE.
THE ONE WHO GOT SLAPPED
WAS HURT, BUT WITHOUT
SAYING ANYTHING,
WROTE IN THE SAND:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND
SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.
THEY KEPT ON WALKING,
UNTIL THEY FOUND AN OASIS,
WHERE THEY DECIDED
TO TAKE A BATH.
THE ONE WHO HAD BEEN
SLAPPED GOT STUCK IN THE
MIRE AND STARTED DROWNING,
BUT THE FRIEND S AV ED HIM.
AFTER HE RECOVERED FROM
THE NEAR DROWNING,
HE WROTE ON A STONE:
'TODAY MY BEST FRIEND
SAVED MY LIFE '.
THE FRIEND WHO H A D SL APPED
AND SAVED HIS BEST FRIEND
ASKED HIM, 'AFTER I HURT YOU,
YOU WROTE IN THE SAND AND NOW,
YOU WRITE ON A STONE, WHY?'
THE FRIEND REPLIED
'WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US
WE SHOULD WRITE I T DOWN
IN SAND, WHERE WINDS OF
FORGIVENESS CAN ERASE IT AWAY.
BUT, WHEN SOMEONE DOES
SOMETHING GOOD FOR US,
WE MUST ENGRAVE IT IN STONE
WHERE NO WIND
CAN EVER ERASE IT.'
LEARN TO WRITE
YOUR HURTS IN
THE SAND AND TO
CARVE YOUR
BENEFITS IN STONE.
THEY SAY IT TAKES A
MINUTE TO FIND A SPECIAL
PERSON, AN HOUR TO
APPRECIATE THEM, A DAY
TO LOVE THEM, BUT THEN
AN ENTIRE LIFE
TO FORGET THEM.
What words of wisdom to live by and I hope that every day I can remember these words and forgive those that I need to forgive and grow to love them dearly who hurt me.

A little of this and a little of that

We have had a lot of rain the last few days and I found this site that has some beautiful pictures of rain

http://www.betterphoto.com/gallery/dynoGallDetail.asp?photoID=505608&catID=371&contestCatID=&rowNumber=38&camID=.

I also found this site for snow

But I am really hoping for days like these pictures

Hope you have a wonderful day in whatever weather you maybe having today.

(I tried to link the websites, but I did not get it figured out.)

One of those weeks

It has been a long week and the days seem to be slowly going by. I wish I was home and not working everyday including Saturday. The kids are taken care of by Grandma and our wonderful neighbor and friend. I miss not being home when they get home from school and miss the fun we have after school and catching up for the day. Only two more weeks of this stuff and hopefully have a day or two (HOPEFULLY MORE) off.

I am still trying to get the inside of the house painted upstairs and I am about 3/4 of the way done. I have not worked out in weeks and I HATE IT!! But have resolved to kick booty tonight after I get the kids in bed. I don't like feeling this way.

Hope all of you are having a great week and day!!
