Christmas Program

The kids had their Christmas Program at School last week and it was so cute to watch them. It was a little hard to watch them all at the same time because they did not have them close to each other.
Their class sang this cute little song:
Decorate the Tree
Decorate the Tree,
Decorate the Tree,
Hang some ornaments,
1, 2, 3.
Decorate the Tree,
Decorate the Tree,
Hang some ornament,
Come help me.
Satin balls and bells hang on with twine,
Flashing lights and tinsel make it shine,
Snowman, canes and ribbons that you tie,
And don't forget the Star goes way up high.
Decorate the Tree,
Decorate the Tree,
Hang some ornaments,
1,2,3.
Decorate the Tree,
Decorate the Tree,
Hang some ornaments,
Come help me.
It was fun to watch them sing the song and sway with the trees on their little faces.

Haircut

Paeton decided to get her hair cut off. She had almost 6 inches cut off. She was just shy of the 6 inches to donate her hair. Maybe next time. It is super cute on her.

Shoveling in the snow!!

It snowed a lot the other day and the boys wanted to help shovel the snow with Rod. They had so much fun shoveling and playing out side with the snow.

Mom's Little Helper!!

We were making cookies for Christmas and Paeton decided to help and she put on her "baking stuff".

It was a lot of fun with her helping.

Monday Fun!!

Every first Monday of the month the kids don't have school. So today we decided to make these super cute Christmas Cards and some yummy cookies. Than we watched "Elf" with Will Farrell. We had a great day and so much fun.

Christmas Lights

The other night we went looking for Christmas lights and ran across these two houses that are so beautiful, but the pictures don't really show how beautiful. We had so much fun looking at all the lights. We love this time of the year.

FREEZING outside!!

It is freezing outside and Paeton is still wearing shorts and tanktops to school. I ask her every day why she is still wearing shorts and she responds "It is too hot in my classroom!". What do you do (LOL)???

Christmas Tree Hunting

We went up on Saturday to help my sister-in-law's family find a tree for Christmas. It was a beautiful day and not too cold outside. We had fun driving up and stompin' through the snow. The kids were able to sled for a little while and we spent about 2 1/2 hours looking and playing. What a great family activity and we are hoping next year to cut a tree down for our family. When we got home we decorated our tree and had some hot chocolate, YUM!!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun this year for us. We had 3 other families over and had a wonderful time. We (Rod) fried 4 turkeys and they turned out GREAT!!! Of course I helped, but he did the hard part. The other families brought some wonderful side dishes and we had a great time eating, talking and playing. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving also. We have so much to be grateful for this year and we feel very blessed. I realized after we had eaten everything, but these two pies that I did not get any pictures of the food or the families, oh well.

Sun setting

The other night the sun was setting and it was beautiful, so I had to take a few pictures. I just love the colors and how vibrant they looked.

Cabin get away

Every year our Relief Society rents a cabin for one night and the sisters go and have dinner, a little spiritual message and stay up way late. I was able to go for the dinner and the message, but not to stay over night. It was a lot of fun and what a great way for the sister's to grow closer to each other.

Rexburg Temple

We are so excited to have a Temple so close to us. Rod and I went driving around the other day while the kids were in school and got some really good pictures of the Temple. We went Sunday night to a Fireside that the Stake was doing and they had the new Temple Presidency speak. President Christensen is amazing and what a wonderful spirit he has about him. He is really funny also. If you have not ordered your tickets for the open house don't forget to get on line and order them. I still need too.

Peace Out Dude!!

The kids were being silly the other day and I got the camera in time to take this picture of Paeton. It was so funny to watch and the low voice she was using was hilarious. She had us all on the floor rolling with laughter. Peace Out Dude is what she was saying. Why, I don't know!!!

Pumpkins

This is Nolan's pumpkin. He got to help carve it out and it turned out great.

I was going to post them all individually, but the other pictures came out blurry. Paeton's was the cat, Leland's was the bat and Rod did a AWESOME job on the "B" for Boston Redsox. I painted it red and it looked amazing. We had a fun time carving the pumpkins.

Class Party

The kids had their class party for Halloween. There were four moms, counting me, that got to help with the class party. We had a few games and some fun cookie decorating for all the kids to make. It was fun to see all the wonderful costumes.

Super Heroes!!

The kids were so CUTE in their costumes. I was not sure I would be able to find the costumes. I just happen to go to Kmart and they were having a 50% sale and decided to look. Well as you can see I found them. The kids had so much fun wearing their costumes and when we went to their school carnival they got all kinds of remarks from everyone. They are my super heroes.

Funny Pictures

The photographer gots some great candid shots of the kids and I thought I would share some that he took. They are priceless.

Pictures!!

We took the kids into JcPenney's a few weeks ago and had their pic's taken. They turned out really good. The photographer did a great job with the kids and had them laughing and having a great time. It was quick and painless this time. I can't believe they will be 6 in just a few months. It has been so much fun being their mom and watching them grew and develop. They are wonderful kids and we love them dearly.

The new me!!

Yesterday I went to get my hair cut and decided I wanted a major change. So I did. Rod was completely SHOCKED when I walked into the house. The kids were SHOCKED when they got home from school, but so far Rod and the kids really like the new look. I don't think I have had it this short in about 5 years. It is shorter than I wanted and Rod's taking a picture ability is in question with the pictures I posted.

Apple Pressing

For Family Home Evening on Monday night our Ward was having an apple pressing to make apple cider. You bring what ever apples you want pressed into cider. It was a great time. The boys helped out a lot and the kids had fun watching and washing the apples. They also had a great time playing with the other kids there and the little kitten. The cider was delish.

Sack Race

Yesterday the kids decided they wanted to have a sack race. So they went upstairs and got some plastic grocery sacks and they had their race, but half way thru the race their feet went through the bottom of the bags. I don't think I have ever heard them laugh such hardy laughs. They had a great time racing.

Two Wheels

Paeton learned how to ride a bike with two wheels with the help of her brothers and two neighbor boys. They (all the boys) were so good about being patient with her and she did a fantastic job. But she has decided she was to keep her training wheels on for a little longer. When she wants to ride a two wheeler, she hops onto one of the boy bikes and goes cruising. She is so funny.

Fall Colors

The leaves are changing and almost all the way off the trees. It is really pretty to see all the different colors. The pictures don't do justice but I wanted to share them with you all. I also took a few pictures of some flowers in the yard before they all died. Enjoy!!!

First Snow Fall

It snowed over Conference Weekend. It started out raining and than it turned into some hugh snowflakes. We went outside for a little bit, but it got too cold and the kids were getting super wet. We did snow angels, had a snow fight and made a attempt at a snowman before everyone got to cold. It was never finished and melted before we could go back outside.
Paeton said I looked like a Snow Princess because my hair was all wet and glistening in the light when we came into the house.
